Dr Chileka Chiyanika is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Health Technology and Informatics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He holds a PhD with distinction in Imaging and Interventional Radiology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, alongside postgraduate qualifications in Magnetic Resonance Technology from Australia and Sonography from India and the USA. His professional background includes over two decades of clinical experience in Zambia, where he has served in departmental leadership roles as a senior diagnostic radiographer and lead sonographer. His research focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) applications in medical imaging, advanced MRI biomarkers, metabolic imaging, and the integration of virtual reality in healthcare education. A member of the Radiological Society of Zambia since 2002, he remains actively involved in supporting the development of radiography education and clinical practice.
