Why this matters

Patients rely on imaging staff to act honestly, respect boundaries and use their position responsibly. Conflicts of interest, inaccurate records, inappropriate relationships or dishonest claims can harm individuals and undermine confidence in the profession. Ethical concerns may develop gradually through everyday decisions, making them difficult to recognise when poor practice has become normal within a team.

This course helps learners examine those decisions, identify competing responsibilities and seek advice early. It covers professional boundaries, truthful documentation and the recognition and reporting of suspected fraud through appropriate channels. By connecting ethical principles to workplace situations, learners can better explain their choices, protect patient trust and contribute to a service where concerns can be raised and addressed fairly.
